Since 2006, Tonkatsuya has been bringing the authentic taste of Japan to Makati. What started as a small corner restaurant with just three tables has grown into a beloved destination for Japanese cuisine enthusiasts.

Our Commitment

Founded by Chef Hosoya and his family, Tonkatsuya was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to share 30 years of authentic Japanese culinary expertise with the local community at accessible prices.

From our humble beginnings at the Lower Ground Floor of Palm Tower in San Antonio Village, we have grown while staying true to our commitment to quality, authenticity, and affordability.

Signature Tonkatsu

Our specialty is the classic Tonkatsu - a perfectly breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet served with thinly sliced raw cabbage, Japanese rice, miso soup, and bean sprouts. We also offer delicious variations including Miso Katsu, Oroshi Katsu, and Cheese Katsu.

Our menu extends beyond Katsu dishes with an excellent selection of Donburi rice bowls, curry rice sets, and popular à la carte items like Tori Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and Gyoza (pan-fried dumplings).
